Back from Steamboat 10 day January 2025 trip
Great trip in Steamboat managed to set my vert pr records (sure I could do much more). Got lots of practice carving with my new Stockli Montero AX skis. 1 day PR was 80,755 ft ( 0900-1600) and 1st place for the week Mon-Fri was 285,922 feet. Would like to go back and see if I can hit 100k starting at 0800 and doing night skiing.
Not sure if I was more efficient on skiing Sundown lift and doing 2 O’Clock laps (around 10 mins per lap/195ft a minute), or on Pony Express Longhorn laps (Around 8 mins a lap or/206.5ft to 193.75 ft a minute). Ski Tracks had Longhorn laps around 1655 ft while Ikon tracker seemed to be 100ft less.
